Tonight was like out of a movie.

Tonight was like out of a movie. A very, very bad movie that I don’t ever want to see again. Aaron was arrested for arson right in front of my eyes. It was like some horrible nightmare! I couldn't stand it... the cops were so rough with him! And even with me! All I wanted to do was be near Aaron and tell them they're all wrong about him -- if only they would listen to me!! I know Aaron did not burn down the barn. Someone else must have done it or maybe everyone is really, really wrong and the barn just caught fire on its own. It happens, you know. I think this whole town wants to think bad things about Aaron... like, poof, everyone just forgot he saved two kids' lives in that fire. The whole scene was just awful... and then my dad showed up. Surprise, surprise. He's probably leading the charge to keep Aaron in jail and away from me. Daddy did take me to see Aaron at the station, but I still can't help thinking he may send me back to Montega. As if bad things don’t happen in Montega. For goodness’ sake, Mom was held prisoner there for years after the revolution, so I hardly think it’s the safest place on earth. But, I think, at this point, Daddy would rather see me hiding from death squads than being with the man I love. I'm really glad Grandmother was there so that I could go home with her. I'm just so exhausted and so scared for Aaron. I wonder what will happen when everyone realizes that arresting Aaron was a mistake...............
Such DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA.

Such DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA. I just left Aaron at the Old Mill. I didn't want to leave him (I, like, never ever WANT to leave him) but he made me go because he was worried I'd get nailed by the family court judge if the cops caught me with him when they came to arrest him. Yeah, ARREST him. I totally don't get how things got so screwed up. I mean, Aaron's a hero!! He saved Will and Luke from that barn fire -- everyone and their cousin knows it. But I overheard Hal say that the cops have proof that Aaron did it. Proof SHMOOF... someone's trying to frame him!! So, I warned Aaron and Lucy that the cops are out to get Aaron but when I tried to get Aaron to run away with me, he wouldn't. He's being so brave, facing the music, deciding to stay and let the police find him and arrest him so that he can show everyone they're all wrong. I feel so bad for him. Aaron was so nice to me tonight -- he even listened to me babble about the LOSERS at Oakdale Vo-Tech where I just registered for classes. I didn't think he'd care but he seemed to. A little, at least. Whatever. I just hope Aaron makes it through the night without the police finding him. There's like a definite shortage of good hiding spots in this stupid town and I know the Chief of Police/my stepbrother-in-law-dad knows every nook and cranny. Maybe Aaron will change his mind and make a run for it after all. But he'd probably go get Lucy before he'd come and get me (insert dramatic sigh).
I'll totally keep you all posted.
