Mom to Mom: A SoapCity Mother's Day Special!
 |
Lesli Kay (Molly) with son Jackson. |
|
Lesli Kay (Molly; ATWT): Honestly, I don't even know what I do.
I just do it. My job isn't like most people's. I take Jackson to work
with me. I have a nanny that goes with me. I'm really lucky because I
get to enjoy my child at work and at home. It's just all Jackson all the
time.
Kim Zimmer (Reva; GL): Keep a sense of humor. Nothing is that
important. For instance, I work so hard to be at all of my kids' sporting
events. I have two sons playing lacrosse now, and it's a little difficult
to be on two different fields at the same time. You have to learn to decide
what is the most important thing at that given moment. Is it important
to put your life at risk going 90 miles an hour to get to a lacrosse game,
or is it more important that you actually show up in time for dinner and
not worry about the lacrosse game? We work so hard in daytime, you feel
guilty about not being there all the time. But, I think it's more important
that you're there in the long run.
Beth Ehlers (Harley; GL): Something has to give. It's not possible
to make it all work. I pick and choose my battles and I let a lot of things
go. You can't worry about everything. You have to have a sense of humor
and laugh. You have to laugh! And not stress out about it. Because you
really don't need anything more on your plate other than doing a good
job so you can make money to take care of your family and love your children.
Beyond that, nothing else is really that important.
