Chris originally infiltrated The Intruder as a mole for information for Tom. During his time at the paper, Chris has come to understand Emily, and they have even become friends and lovers. He finally got her to admit that she was being harassed/threatened by David and forced her to trust and get help from Jake.
Abigail finally talked out her problems with Molly (who confessed to faking her amnesia) and enlisted Chris’s help in giving Katie her comeuppance at the 2000 Endicott Awards.
After unsuccessfully attempting to start a true relationship with Emily Stewart based on their sexual fling, Chris realized that he needed to return to college, and got reinstated at Columbia University, where he decided to enter the pre-med program.
Chris found “Daisy’s” horse charm and tried to return it, but she told him to keep it for good luck. He then gave her his own chain w/ St. Christopher medal for good luck. These and the Xmas tree air freshener were placed behind a loose brick in the Brownstone Garden.
Chris graduated medical school and, while visiting his parents, found out that he would be interning at Oakdale Memorial Hospital, much to his chagrin. During his intern rotation, Chris bumped heads with John Dixon and sat in on Margo’s surgery. Chris and Abigail began entertaining romantic notions again until Abigail abruptly moved to California to work in the entertainment business with Adam.
Due to his interest in pediatrics, Chris took a specific interest in Will Munson’s case and became convinced that the boy did not start the Snyder Barn Fire. Due to his efforts, Alison Stewart confessed to starting the fire in the barn. Although he was largely responsible for her arrest, they struck up a friendship that soon moved towards romance.
Gave Abigail copy of Tender Is the Night (with inscription “To My Daisy”) after she told him her real identity.
