When Lucy first saw Aaron Snyder, she was under the mistaken impression that he was dating Abigail, and thought him a sleaze for not rejecting Alison’s advances out-of-hand. Once she found out he and Abigail are half-siblings, she went out of her way to apologize. They quickly hit it off, much to Alison’s chagrin (she was eyeing Aaron from the beginning). Much to Craig’s dismay, Lucy and Aaron went for a ride on his motorcycle, which turned into a bone of contention between Craig and Lucy. Lucy finally turned rebellious and defied Craig’s wishes that she not ride. Alison Stewart was so hurt that Aaron rejected her and hit it off with Lucy that she spied on them, took a picture of them riding off on the motorcycle, and delivered it to Craig, despite ostensibly being friends with both Lucy and Aaron.

Craig kept digging up information on Aaron’s past in order to break up Aaron and Lucy, but each time he uses this information it backfires and pushes Lucy further into Aaron’s arms. He misconstrued Aaron’s one night stand with a married woman in Seattle so that Lucy would break up w/ Aaron. While she did break up with him, once she heard the full explanation of what happened, they got back together, resolving to evade Craig at all costs. Sierra retuned to bring peace to the feuding father and daughter and reached a compromise, which would allow Lucy to see Aaron.

After cavorting on the motorcycle and crashing one day (injuring Lucy), even Holden had it with Aaron and called Caleb and Julie to take Aaron back. One night the Snyder barn caught on fire and Aaron rescued Luke and Will. First hailed a hero, evidence started popping up implicating Aaron. The capper was when Will awoke from his coma and ID’d Aaron as the arsonist. Arrested by Hal, Alison broke Aaron out of jail and he went on the lam w/ Lucy, hopping from College to college to fit amongst college students.

The college high jinks stopped abruptly in Washington University, St. Louis, when Hal caught up with Aaron. Alison confessed to Lucy that she started the fire and she ran to stop Hal from arresting Aaron, but was hit by a trolley. Suffering severe head and spinal injuries, Lucy became a temporary paraplegic and experienced memory loss -- including remembering that Alison confessed to setting the fire. Sierra returned again, this time intent on taking Lucy back to Montega, but Lucy convinced her that to get her memories back she needed to stay in Oakdale. Alison hooked up with Craig to try and break up Alison and Aaron as they began to get closer again. Meanwhile, Rosanna, once Lucy’s enemy, became Lucy’s confidant, and Lucy started to go to Rosanna with questions about the memories that she lost.
