| Nemesis: Dr. John Dixon
“Dr. Bob” is the bedrock, model citizen of Oakdale. He is the stalwart person you can count on to get a straight answer, and always the truth. While he can be judgmental, it’s never in a condescending manner, more in shock that you’d do something contrary to the morals he’s been brought up with and lived by.
His lowest point was when he had an affair with Dr. Susan Stewart while his wife Kim was relying heavily on her ex, Dr. John Dixon, dealing with their son Andy’s emerging alcoholism. He worked very hard to make it up to Kim. It took time, but they got back on solid ground and renewed their vows 12/19/91.
After Rose and Carly returned to Oakdale aged, courtesy of Dr. Weston, Weston was coerced into reversing the process on Carly. Bob was present for the procedure, and was up to the task of performing the equivalent procedure on Rose when Weston refused to treat Rose and she also refused to let Dr. Weston near her. The operation successfully reversed Rose’s condition. After receiving a $1.75 million completion bond from Molly, Bob hired Mike and his company to build the new burn unit.
Bob supported Ben when Marshall accused him of trying to kill him when complications arose due to a nicked artery during an operation to remove a bullet between Marshall’s eyes.
