Soap Stars Most "Moving" Experiences
Moving. Not anyone's favorite way to spend an afternoon. The only thing worse than having to pack up your belongings in boxes and schlepping them across town is being asked to help someone else move! Most people know this; that's why they try to catch you off guard when they ask for assistance. If you want to get out of helping someone move, try one of these excuses, courtesy of your favorite ATWT and GL cast members.
Michael Park (Jack, ATWT): I got a thing. I got a thing that day. Keep it as general as possible.
Beth Ehlers (Harley, GL): Grow up! We're not in college anymore! Hire a mover!
Grayson McCouch (Dusty, ATWT): I was having lunch with Beyonce.

Yvonna Wright (Mel, GL): That's easy. I'm pregnant. I can't lift anything.
Martha Byrne (Lily/Rose, ATWT): My back just went out last week. I have back problems!
Bradley Cole (Jeffrey, GL): I broke my leg. (Laughs) Never seems to work though. That's why I always get suckered in. I'm a bad liar.
Jennifer Ferrin (Jennifer, ATWT): I would help someone move. Except if the stairs were really narrow. Because that's just crazy. You could die. (Laughs)
Marj Dusay (Alex, GL): You don't need to move! (Laughs) Moving will shake your entire life, darling. Don't move! Try to talk them out of it. That, and I've always been bad luck for people who move. Things break.
Peyton List (Lucy, ATWT): I've actually never been asked to help someone move, probably because they would assume that I would come up with an excuse to get out of it!
Michael O'Leary (Rick, GL): I have a horrible lower back, so I have a built in excuse and it happens to be true.
Agim Kaba (Aaron, ATWT): I always help people move. I'm a sucker for that.

Aubrey Dollar (Marina, GL): No excuse, but one time I moved myself, all by myself. Before I had to go to waitressing, I went and got myself a U-Haul on 23rd street, drove it to my apartment by myself, ran all the way up five flights of stairs, got a box, ran back down five flights, put the box in the U-Haul, locked the truck, ran back up. I did this, then I drove it to Queens, and I'm going over the Queensboro bridge, and I'm like "I'm in a U-Haul by New York by myself going over the Queensboro bridge." And then I moved it into my new apartment, returned it and then went to my waitressing job that night. That was one of my worst days ever. But I felt like an independent woman. I don't think there's many women who could do that. But when you have to do it and you don't have a choice, it's amazing what you can get done.
