Alison runs to a fire escape, where Chris finds her. Alison admits the baby is his, and that she fears he'll take the baby from her. Chris tells Alison to trust him. As she starts to come inside, she slips. Chris tries to save her, but she crashes to the ground. Aaron arrives and believes he sees Chris push Alison off the fire escape. Alison is rushed inside, but the doctor announces that she lost the baby. Alone with the police, Aaron insists Chris pushed Alison. The clinic supervisor substantiates that Alison was terrified when she saw Chris, and that Alison took off with Chris chasing her. Alison wakes and learns about the loss of her baby from Chris. Susan arrives as Bob is also arriving. The police question Alison, but she can't say how she fell. Aaron insists Chris pushed her and says it wasn't the first time. Chris is arrested and devastated Alison doesn't know what to think.
Mike is shocked Simon is alive, and they immediately clash&mdasheach is in love with Katie. Katie's efforts to separate them fail and she asks them both to go. Mike later visits Katie and tells her he got a job out of the country&mdashshe should come with him. Katie refuses, saying she hasn't decided what she is going to do yet, but she hasn't taken off her engagement ring. Mike goes off optimistic while Katie goes to the church to think and encounters Simon (he's staying there). Simon makes a heartfelt pitch for Katie to leave with him, citing danger. Katie says she needs time and he should go without her. Simon says he'll never leave her again, and they end up in a clinch, just as Mike appears. Mike accuses Simon of putting Katie in danger, but Simon assures he's got a way out of the country. Just then the church is flooded with bullets. Katie tells Simon in front of Mike that she's ready to leave with him. Simon wants to take her immediately, but Mike insists they hide out at his cottage. They go and Simon leaves to find his contact. Mike makes his plea to Katie, and she says she loves him, but she must go with Simon.
Lily puts aside her suspicions about Lois and invites her to Cal's. Lois makes a connection to Rose and tells Lily that Rose is caught between two worlds&mdashonly Lily can save her. During another meeting with Lois, Lily offers to pay her for her time.Lucinda catches Lily paying Lois and tells Holden. After Lois leaves, Lily leaves her a message, saying she wants her to meet her children. Lily comes home and Holden expresses concern about the effect Lily's grief is having on the children and her involvement with the psychic. Holden leaves and goes to Jack, who agrees to check out Lois. Meanwhile, Lily bustles the kids to Cal's where Lois shows up. Luke and Faith are uncomfortable. Lois channels Rose and Luke challenges her when she doesn't call him by the special name Rose called him, "Luciano." Holden walks into the bedlam just as Luke is trying to run off. Holden blasts Lily.
Hal visits Will and tells him Barbara is not going to jail. Barbara shows and she and Will are prevented from seeing one another. Jennifer arrives, looking for Paul. Paul, meanwhile, is drunk at Yo's and gets into a fight. The bartender calls the police and Hal arrives. Paul is hauled off to the drunk tank for the night. The next day, Paul goes to visit James, who is in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank. James covers and is full of bravado, telling Paul the finer points about dealing with enemies. Meanwhile, Jennifer asks Barbara to apologize, and she tries to when Paul arrives. Paul, off advice from James, invites Barbara to lunch. Paul forgives Barbara and says he wants to be a family again, for Will's sake. Jen doesn't buy it, but the three pose for a family portrait while Imaginary James reminds Paul to keep his friends close, but his enemies closer. As they celebrate their togetherness at the Lakeview, an assistant from BRO comes in with troubling news. Paul offers a brilliant suggestion and Barbara begs him to return to BRO. Jennifer says she'll come back if Paul does and convinces Paul to do it for Will. Paul agrees. Later, Paul is talking to the assistant and we see he set the whole emergency up so that Barbara would invite him back.
Craig explains his deal with Molly to Dusty and asks him to let her off the hook. Dusty relents so long as Craig keeps Molly away from him and helps Dusty find a new partner to buy her out. Molly arrives, Dusty leaves, and Molly promises Craig she will uphold her part of the bargain. Molly threatens, however, that she is done helping Craig.
Rosanna calls Carly to meet her at Cal's and tells her Craig confessed about Mitzi. Rosanna wants to hear Mitzi's side of the story. After discovering Mitzi has left town, Rosanna asks Carly if Craig is being honest. Carly, unable to break Rosanna's heart, covers for Craig and doesn't tell her what she knows. Rosanna decides to trust Craig for Cabot's sake.
Dusty gets the check from Rose's insurance policy. Dusty calls Lily, but she doesn't give him the time of day. Molly suggests Dusty buy her part of Metro with the money, but Dusty won't.
Jessica agrees to take a letter to Bonnie for Sarah. Jessica tells Ben she will not deliver the letter, but feels this is the way to reach Sarah. Ben warns the plan will end in disaster. The next day, Sarah skips class and goes to Metro. Jessica finds out, but Curtis convinces her not to be mad. Sarah is furious when she hears Jessica thanking Curtis for helping her deal with Sarah.
Carly tells Jack she's restless, but doesn't know what to do or where. Jack suggests designing, but will support her in anything.
