Stephanie Forrester has always been a woman of strong principle. She never shies away from controversy or speaking her mind. She is extremely intelligent, loyal and steadfast. She is so much a woman to be reckoned with that she is almost a force of nature!
By sheer determination, Stephanie has achieved a multitude of objectives -- going all the way back to the moment she met the handsome and charming Eric Forrester in college. Eric wanted to be a fashion designer. Despite his involvement with Beth, (Brooke's mother), Stephanie's attraction to Eric was overwhelming... so much so that when Stephanie announced her pregnancy, she knew it was a way to secure Eric's love and devotion to her. They were married after their college graduation.

In addition to the overwhelming love she had for Eric, Stephanie was also a key factor in helping Eric make Forrester Creations the success it has since become. She was Eric's wife, but Forrester Creations was also a joint venture. In time, Stephanie and Eric made their design house one of the most prominent in the world. Meanwhile, Stephanie had given birth to four of Eric's children -- Ridge, Thorne, Kristen and Felicia. As a mother, Stephanie so defines the word 'overbearing' that her picture is probably under it in the dictionary! She would often dictate the manner and direction in which her children lived their lives.
But for many years, Stephanie harbored a tragic secret that even Eric was not aware of -- that a daughter she had actually given birth to was not dead (as she had told Eric) -- but was actually alive with a tragic illness, microcephalic. Secretly, Stephanie would go off to spend hours on end visiting a semi-comatose Angela -- regaling her the family tales that she wasn't able to be a part of. But Stephanie was blissfully unaware that the young woman she was seeing, along with the doctor that was put in charge of her care, were a fraud. When the charade was exposed, "Angela" (whose real name was Deveney), was able to take all those secrets in which Stephanie confided in her and use them against her.

As passionately as Stephanie can love, her wrath can be just as strong, especially when it comes to Brooke Logan and Sally Spectra. Although the reasons behind her feelings of enmity for the two women are vastly different, Stephanie is keenly aware of each woman's capabilities. Brooke has always been after the love of the Forrester men. Sally has always craved the success of Forrester Creations.
One fateful day, Stephanie suffered a mild stroke, and all that she knew in her life -- friends, family and her home, became a vacant memory. Devoid of her identity, Stephanie wandered the streets of Los Angeles. For a time, she lived on the street among people who were kind and took her in. Using the familiar sounding name of Liz (which was the nickname of Eric's former love, Beth Logan) -- Stephanie accepted her new surroundings. Yet her strong-willed personality remained the same. Taken in among two homeless people, Ruthann and Adam, Stephanie became a part of a new kind of family -- while those at home wondered and worried what had become of her. Ironically, it was quite by accident when Sally Spectra discovered Stephanie going through the garbage bins looking for a meal -- and offered to take her back to her family.

Stephanie has always been a tenacious mother, especially where her sons, Ridge and Thorne, are concerned. After all, it was with Ridge's conception that enabled Stephanie to marry Eric, the man she was in love with. Years later, however, a shocked Stephanie found out that Eric couldn't possible be Ridge's biological father. Stephanie then realized Massimo Marone, the man she had once spent a romantic night making love to back in college, is actually Ridge's father!
While Stephanie's strong-willed personality sometimes offends people, it served herself well in obtaining the things she wanted in life. Despite a brief separation from Eric -- when he married her mortal enemy, Brooke Logan -- Stephanie held onto the belief that she and Eric would one day get back together. After Eric's marriage to Sheila ended and his romance with Lauren collapsed, that day finally arrived. The love shared between Stephanie and Eric may have gone off the straight and narrow, but the feelings were always there. They were remarried and remain steadfast support for their family.
