B&B’s Daytime Emmy® Glamorama

They say that New York is the city that doesn’t sleep. Well, the week of the Daytime Emmys certainly put this idea to the test. Daytime Emmy week was jam-packed with parties, dinners, dancing, drinks and press functions and the B&B cast was raring to go. The celebrations began with a B&B press luncheon held at Ian Schrager’s Morgans Hotel on Madison Ave in Manhattan. Several of the B&B cast members arrived promptly, looking fresh and chic, while others arrived fashionably late, sporting sunglasses to protect their eyes, which were a little sensitive after a long night of partying at the celebrity hangout, The Hudson. That night, B&B held a private late night dance party at The Lobby, which began at 11PM and continued on until the wee hours of the morning. Friday was spent recovering from the previous night’s festivities, followed by the usual primping and preening for the big night -- The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The B&B starlets dazzled us on the red carpet, showcasing gowns from Valentino to Monique Lhuillier and diamonds from Chopard of Beverly Hills. The highlight of the awards ceremony was when Susan Flannery (Stephanie) and Jennifer Finnigan (Bridget) took home the gold for the second year in a row. The B&B cast, along with sister show Y&R, then really kicked off their shoes at the post-Emmy celebration held at 8 ½ Brasserie.
