(SUSAN)TV actress Giovanna Antonelli has recently appeared in the prime-time episodic dramas Tocaia Grande and Xica da Silva (Tv Manchete), Tropicaliente and Corpo Dourado, as well as in two episodes of the series Você Decide, at TV Globo.

Giovanna Antonelli makes her feature film debut in BOSSA NOVA, playing Sharon, Pedro Paulo's saucy intern. She not only knows everything about law, but also about soccer and the idol of a legion of adoring fans, Acácio. As Giovanna describes: "Sharon is sort of a nerd, but she's smart and quite a know-it-all. She's also a very determined young lady, and when she falls in love with the soccer player, she leaves everything behind to follow him. Sharon is very funny and has some very cool gags."

The actress considers her screen debut a "gift from Bruno." And she explains why: "I read for the part, but to be totally honest, I had no hopes of being chosen. I was informed they'd picked me while I was away on a trip, and I was so thrilled. I'd only worked in television productions until then, and making a movie was the best thing that ever happened in my life. Working with Bruno and our cast and crew was another gift. One day I kissed him right in front of everybody and said: "Look, you're the only filmmaker I'll ever work with for the rest of my life." Of course it was a joke, but it would be great if we could always choose the people we work with. Being a part of BOSSA NOVA was a great experience, the first of many others like it, I hope."
