Ute Hofinger

(Costumer Designer)


Ute Hofinger began her career as a freelance stylist and fashion editor in advertising for the press and television. She then worked on the editorial staffs of Twen and Playboy until 1980. In 1982, she became a costume advisor and dyer for the television show, "Rote Erde," directed by Klaus Emmerich, and subsequently worked as costume assistant on "Marie Ward," directed by Angelika Weber. Her first independent work as a costume designer was for "Peppermint-Frieden" by Marianne Rosenbaum. In addition to her work for various television projects, Hofinger has collaborated with director Jo Baier on his films RAUHNACHT, EMERENZ, MAIER, ROSSE and WOLDFEUER.
Hofinger collaborated with director Joseph Vilsmaier on his previous films, STALINGRAD, AUTUMN MILK, and RAMA DAMA.
