


Heiner Niehues
(Make-up Design)
From 1970 to 1973 Heiner Niehues trained at the City Theater of Essen. He worked
at the Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg from 1974 to 1978. In 1979, he went to
the Kammerspiele in Munich. Since 1983, he freelanced for film and television.
He is best known for his work on THE NEVER-ENDING STORY (1983) and ENEMY MINE (1985) both
directed by Wolfgang Petersen, and ROSEN EMIL (1992, directed by Radu Gebrea). He
also worked with Joseph Vilsmaier on HERBSTMILCH, RAMA DAMA and STALINGRAD.
Since 1986, Ruth Philipp and Heiner Niehues have worked regularly together.
