(Malnate)


Fabio Testi was born in Peschiera in 1941. Originally a stunt-man, Vittorio De Sica chose him to play the role of Malnate when another actor, Gian Maria Volonte, was unavailable. Among his other films are "Tis a Pity She's a Whore," directed by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, and "China 9, Liberty 37," by Monte Hellman. He co-starred with Dominique Sanda and Anthony Quinn in Mauro Bolognini's "The Inheritance," and his most recent film was "Il Ritorno di Sandokan," directed by Enzo G. Castellari.
