Raised in Virginia and educated at Northwestern University, Dermot Mulroney has built a diverse and notable body of work on film. He recently starred in Jonathan Kaplan's BAD GIRLS, Floyd Mutrux's THERE GOES MY BABY, Peter Bogdonovich's THIS THING CALLED LOVE, with Samantha Mathis and River Phoenix, Sam Shepard's SILENT TONGUE with Richard Harris, Alan Bates and Phoenix, and in John Badham's POINT OF NO RETURN, opposite Bridget Fonda.

Mulroney was the recipient of the Seattle Film Festival "Best Actor" award for his role in the feature WHERE THE DAY TAKES YOU with Lara Flynn Boyle. Other film credits include: YOUNG GUNS, SAMANTHA, CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, STAYING TOGETHER, SUNSET and SURVIVAL QUEST.

In addition to his many film credits, Mulroney has also achieved great success in television, having starred in HBO's THE LAST OUTLAW with Mickey Rourke and co-starred with Angelica Huston and Sam Neill in FAMILY PICTURES. He was nominated for the Cable Ace Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the HBO film LONG GONE.

Since completing LIVING IN OBLIVION, Mulroney has appeared in Jon Amiel's COPYCAT alongside Holly Hunter and Sigourney Weaver, and in Jocelyn Moorhouse's HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT.
