Rachel Griffiths is not the only actor in ME MYSELF I required to play the same character in two different worlds. As Ben, Pamela One's new love interest, Sandy had to bring subtle changes from his character jumping from one world to the next.

"What's most interesting about Ben in this situation is that he is two different people but he's innately the same person at the core of it. The trick was to look at the "what ifs" of life to imagining how you would be different in different circumstances," Sandy said.

"It's a fascinating process to encounter."

Ben is gregarious, energetic, fun, laid back and "a nice sensitive guy without being too wet, basically your perfect bloke," laughs Sandy. And while the role of Ben was instantly attractive and intriguing to Sandy, it was Pip Karmel's bigger picture that truly drew him to the project.

"It doesn't matter how good your individual part is, if the whole piece doesn't work, forget it," says Sandy.

"Pip's script was so fantastic, all the characters were really well written - I just found it fascinating from the first page and then when I met Pip, the whole thing just clicked for me, and the process from there was very natural and smooth."

"Working with Rachel - she is just such a spunk, and we got on superbly. I had very little to do with the other characters so it was really just me and Rachel and that made it a really, really fun shoot."

Sandy Winton began his acting career in theatre, and his stage credits include Live Acts on Stage (director Michael Gow), the Sydney Theatre Company's Blackrock (director David Berthold), and Herbal Red (director Marion Potts).

ME MYSELF I is his first major role in a feature film.
