Jean-Louis Livi is a former head of the talent agency Artmedia, where his clients included Francois Truffaut, Bertrand Blier, Yves Montand and Gerard Depardieu. Since leaving Artmedia to form his own company, Film par Film, Livi has produced such films as "The Little Thief," "Merci La Vie," "Mon Pere, ce Heros" (and its American remake "My Father the Hero"), "Tous les Matins du Monde," "Un Coeur en Hiver," "The Accompanist" and "Colonel Chabert."
