


ALEXANDRE MNOUCHKINE

Veteran French producer Alexandre Mnouchkine produced over a hundred films in a career that spanned four decades. His many credits include Jean Cocteau's "Les Parents Terribles," Philippe de Broca's "That Man From Rio" and "Le Magnifique," Claude Lelouch's "A Man and a Woman," Alain Resnais' "Stavisky," Bertrand Blier's "Get Out Your Handkerchiefs," Bob Swaim's "La Balance," Jean-Jacques Annaud's "The Name of the Rose," and Giuseppe Tornatore's Academy Award-winning "Cinema Paradiso." Mnouchkine died in April, 1993 during the production of "A Pure Formality."
