LOVE AND HUMAN REMAINS
SYNOPSIS:
LOVE & HUMAN REMAINS is a dark comedy about people searching for love and family in the '90s. The film focuses on roommates / ex-lovers David (Thomas Gibson), a cynical actor-turned-waiter, and Candy (Ruth Marshall), an ever-hopeful book reviewer, and their hilarious, often poignant entanglements with a psychic dominatrix (Mia Kirshner), a bartender (Rick Roberts), a lesbian schoolteacher (Joanne Vannicola), a seventeen-year-old busboy (Matthew Ferguson), and a misogynistic yuppie (Cameron Bancroft).
The Museum of Modern Art recently honored Award-winning Canadian filmmaker Denys Arcand with a complete retrospective of his films. Director Arcand is best known in the United States for his Oscar-nominated French-language features JESUS OF MONTREAL and THE DECLINE OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE.
