Luis Colina started in the film industry as an apprentice editor on such critically acclaimed films as AMADEUS, BLUE VELVET, THE RIGHT STUFF and THE BLACK STALLION. His talent was quickly recognized and he was
soon thereafter working as an assitant picture editor on such films as THE MOSQUITO COAST, THE GODFATHER: PART III, THE DOCTOR,
FINAL ANALYSIS, BODY OF EVIDENCE, MAVERICK and THE SCARLET LETTER.
Since his apprentice and assistant days, Colina has graduated to editing. He has
completed more than 10 features in the past 3 years including THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, TRIAL BY JURY, THE COLOR OF NIGHT and THE LAST
SUPPER, which, along with THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, was shown at the 1996 Sundance Film Festival, making Colina the only editor at
the festival with two feature films in the line-up.
