  • TRISTAR ANNOUNCES TITLE AND WRAP OF PRODUCTION FOR "THE WALK"
  • MONTRÉAL, Canada, August 6, 2014 - Principal photography has wrapped on the inaugural film from Tom Rothman’s TriStar Productions, now officially titled The Walk. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film is a true story based on Philippe Petit’s book "To Reach the Clouds," starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the young dreamer who dared the impossible: an illegal wire walk between the World Trade Center towers. Zemeckis wrote the screenplay with Christopher Browne. Producers are Steve Starkey, Robert Zemeckis, and Jack Rapke. The film will be released on October 2, 2015.

  • TRISTAR PRODUCTIONS BULLISH ON MONEY MONSTER
  • CULVER CITY, Calif., July 25, 2014 - Tom Rothman’s TriStar Productions has acquired the worldwide rights and given the go ahead to Money Monster, a fast-paced, character-driven thriller written by Jamie Linden. Daniel Dubiecki, who worked with Clooney on Up in the Air, and Lara Alameddine developed the script along with Jodie Foster, who will direct the film. Dubiecki and Alameddine’s The Allegiance Theater will produce together with Clooney and his Smokehouse Pictures partner Grant Heslov. Alan DiFore and Jim Kouf wrote the original draft of the script. Principal photography is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2015.

  • NEW YORK (April 7, 2014) - Sony Pictures Classics announced today that it will release Martha Stephens & Aaron Katz’s LAND HO! on July 11 in New York and Los Angeles, followed by openings nationwide. Additionally, LAND HO! will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival in April and the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. The film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, where it played to great critical acclaim.

  • CULVER CITY, Calif., April 4, 2014 - Michelle Monaghan and Peter Dinklage have joined Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Josh Gad in the cast of Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Pixels, which will be directed by Chris Columbus and released in the Summer of 2015. Principal photography will begin in June of this year on the Happy Madison/1492 Pictures production, which was written by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling, based on the short film directed by Patrick Jean and produced by One More Production. Pixels will be produced by Happy Madison’s Adam Sandler and Allen Covert, and 1492 Pictures’ Chris Columbus, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe.
