All-Star Soap Benefit for The Nicole Fund!

"I met Nicole about a year ago," Jordi revealed to SoapCity. "And I guess I had a very strong impact on her. All she wanted for her birthday was a picture of me. My friend Danny Luongo set up a charity for her, and I kept in close touch because I was interested in how Nicole was doing. Danny approached me again this year and said, "Would you take this charity under your wing?" And I said, "I'll do what I can." So, I posted a picture of Nicole on my Web site (www.JordiVilasuso.com) and asked my fans to donate money. For the benefit, all the casts from all the New York soaps came to our event, and we were able to raise $21,000!"

ATWT's Mark Collier (Mike) and Réal Andrews (Walker) showed their support.

"Nicole's mother has had a lot of misfortune," Jordi continued. "Nicole's sister has juvenile arthritis, and her brother has bubble boy disease. And then the mother got cancer this year and the father is not around. So, all the money raised goes to Nicole and her family. I thought it was good we could support this woman, who has done so much for her family, and needs anything we can give her."

"I like being able to help one specific individual. It makes me feel like I'm actually doing something important. I'm using my acting on a soap opera to do something right, to give back. Some people haven't been dealt the best cards in life and you need to help them any way you can."
