Matthew Bomer joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama GUIDING LIGHT
on October 23, 2001 in the role of guileful college student Ben Reade.
Upon discovering that fellow coed Marah Lewis is still a virgin, Ben manipulates
his way into her life, intent on winning a bet that he can deflower her.
Bomer, a native of Spring, Texas, received his Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree from Carnegie Mellon University. After graduating, Bomer moved
to New York, where he worked on stage as well as landed a brief stint
on the daytime drama All My Children in the role of Ian Kipling.
His theater credits include Spring Awakening, A Gingerbread
House, Romeo and Juliet, Joseph and the Amazing Dreamcoat,
and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Bomer, who is the son of former Dallas Cowboy John Bomer and his wife,
Sissi, has two siblings, brother Neill, an engineer, and sister Megan,
a college student. He enjoys sports, especially football, baseball and
tennis, and playing guitar. His birthdate is October 11. |
