Troy Kurtis joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama, GUIDING LIGHT, on August 14, 2003 in the role of "Nico Castaño," the tough-talking street kid who reluctantly becomes entrenched in the Santos family.

A Danbury, CT native, Kurtis was first discovered by Bon Jovi producer Desmond Child before joining the band Menudo (a.k.a. MDO) as lead vocalist. The group's hit single, "Te Quise Olvidar," spent 5 weeks as #1 on the hot Latin Tracks Billboard Charts. Throughout his successful music career, Kurtis has performed with such artists as Ricky Martin, Christina Auguilera and Celia Cruz.

Kurtis's birth date is December 30. He currently resides in NYC.
