| In May 1983, Tina Sloan joined the cast of GUIDING LIGHT, the
CBS daytime drama, originating the role of nurse Lillian Raines.
Born on Feb. 1 in Bronxville, N.Y., Sloan was educated at The Ursuline
School and Manhattanville College. She has studied acting with Bob McAndrew
and Warren Robertson.
Sloan has appeared in the Woody Allen films, Celebrity and The
Curse of the Jade Scorpion. She can also been seen in the upcoming
films Changing Lanes with Ben Affleck, The Guru with Marisa
Tomei, and People I Know with Al Pacino.
No stranger to daytime television, Sloan has had recurring roles on
the soap operas Search for Tomorrow (as Patti Whiting), Somerset
(as Kate Cannell) and on Another World (as Dr. Olivia Delaney).
The blonde-haired, green-eyed actress is married, has a son, Renny, and
lives in New York City when she is not busy traveling the globe. A marathon
runner, Sloan has completed races in Paris, London, Honolulu and Washington,
DC and competed in the New York City and Los Angeles Marathons. She has
also climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and the Annapurna Refuge in Nepal.
