| 1987 |
Harley's brother, Frank, is driving her to a hospital as she goes
into labor. They collide with a motorbike. Harley gives birth to a
baby girl after Dinah Marler helps to deliver it. Harley gives the
baby up for adoption. |
| 1988 |
Harley dates and becomes engaged to Alan-Michael Spaulding, horrifying
his family. Phillip sets it up so it looks like he and Harley slept
together, hurting Alan-Michael. The truth comes out and she and Alan-Michael
reconcile. Phillip teaches Harley how to be a refined and distinguished
Spaulding woman. |
| 1989 |
Alan-Michael and Harley wed. Harley's mom, Nadine, comes back to
Springfield having learned her daughter married rich.
Harley becomes obsessed with reclaiming her daughter, Daisy (who
was renamed Susan.) Dylan locates her and tells Harley that Susan
is happy where she is; however, Harley and Alan-Michael think otherwise.
They offer the Lemays money for the baby girl, but the couple refuses.
Harley is upset when Alan-Michael tells the Lemays who Dylan really
is and threatens to divorce him. Alan-Michael kidnaps Susan and
brings her to Harley. Harley returns the child to her parents.

| 1990 |
Alan-Michael and Harley decide to divorce. Harley finds out her
soon-to-be ex-husband slept with Blake Marler so she tries to catch
them. However, Alan-Michael catches her and she seduces him. Harley
can't help but still care for Alan-Michael as he does the same.
Harley thinks she might be pregnant and confirms Alan-Michael was
having an affair. She considers reconciling with him for the sake
of the baby, but once the test results come back false, she goes
through with the divorce.
Reva hires Harley to care for her children. After Reva disappears,
Harley explains to little Marah what happened to her mommy. Harley
ends up sleeping with Josh after he thinks she's Reva. Josh proposes
to Harley.

| 1991 |
Harley plans her wedding to Josh, but rumors that Reva has been
spotted begin to circulate. Harley is hurt when Josh leaves to search
for his wife. Later, Harley and a new cop named A.C. Mallet team up
together. He and Harley grow closer as she opens up to him about her
life. |
| 1992 |
Harley and Mallet become embroiled in a case and Mallet saves Harley's
life. They admit their love for one another. Their relationship is
a bit rocky but ends with a marriage proposal. |
| 1993 |
Harley and Mallet travel to D.C. to pay tribute to her father, who
was a Vietnam veteran, but they don't find his name on the Memorial
Wall. Harley confronts Nadine, who lies, saying her father is dead.
Harley learns that Buzz Cooper is her dad and plans her wedding to
Mallet. Josh comes back to Springfield for Harley, but backs off after
learning about her engagement. Harley's family and friends throw a
surprise wedding for her and Mallet. Buzz grants them a free honeymoon
to Florida. Harley and Mallet decide to relocate after he gets a new
job. |
| 1997 |
Harley returns to Springfield, her and Mallet's marriage having
not worked out. She begins work at the police station. Harley and
Phillip meet up again and they become friends. |
| 1998 |
Harley and Phillip fall in love but Harley feels Beth Raines, Phillip's
ex-wife, is a threat to their relationship. Harley is happy when Phillip
moves in with her and she starts her own detective agency. Harley
marries Phillip in a surprise New York City wedding thrown by friends.

| 1999 |
Harley's teenaged daughter, Susan, comes to town. Pleased that her
daughter is back in her life, she wants to make a home for her, but
Phillip is more cautious. Phillip offers Jim Lemay, Susan's father,
a job and the two settle into Springfield. Harley's pregnancy doesn't
sit well with Susan but she comes around when Alan Spaulding II is
born. |
| 2000 |
Harley learns Phillip slept with Beth (following a plane crash)
and that their unborn child can help save the life of Lizzie, Phillip
& Beth's daughter. Harley eventually forgives Phillip and the
two try to put their marriage back to no avail. |
| 2001 |
Harley sadly sends Susan off to boarding school following the death
of Jim.
Harley files for divorce from Phillip. Seeking comfort, she sleeps
with Rick Bauer, Phillip's best friend, and becomes pregnant, creating
an uncomfortable situation for all involved. Making matters worse,
she continues to work on a case against Rick's brother-in-law, Danny
Santos, under the supervision of Gus Aitoro, who gets under her
skin.

| 2002 |
After attempting to create a family with Rick Bauer, they decide
that they are better off as friends. Unable to resist the attraction
between herself and her partner Gus, Harley gives in to her feelings
and becomes romantically involved with Gus. Gus moves in with Harley,
prompting Phillip to threaten to sue for custody of Zack. Gus keeps
his past secret from Harley. Harley tracks down Gus's sister, Eden. |
