Marina is kidnapped by Holly Lindsey-Reade, along with eight other
Springfield children. The children are all returned to safety. |

Marina's parents split up when Eleni falls for another man and moves
to California to be with him. Eleni take Marina with her. |

After being expelled from school, Marina runs away from home and
returns to Springfield. While her parents search for Marina, she is
caught shoplifting but Shayne Lewis helps her avoid arrest. Days later,
Marina's aunt, Harley Cooper and Dr. Rick Bauer catch her stealing
food from the Bauer kitchen. Frank and Eleni are thrilled that their
daughter is safe but wonder why she didn't make her presence in town
known earlier. Marina reveals that she decided against it when she
learned Eleni was in town. |

Marina's frustration with her mother has grown, forcing her mother
to go back to California while Marina stays in Springfield with her
father. Marina continues to look for trouble and she keeps finding
it. She has an attraction to bartender Romeo Jones and tries to prove
that she can be a rebel. She saves Carmen and Romeo from a close call
with the police, led by her father, Frank, by hiding the gambling
cash box. Marina's latest scheme has been to try and sabotage her
Aunt Harley's relationship with Gus Aitoro. When that plan goes belly-up,
Marina changes tactics and begins to chase "older man" Ben
