A young Marah is devastated when Reva drives her car off a bridge,
soon after giving birth to Shayne. Harley Cooper steps in as her nanny
and begins a short relationship with Josh. A still-grieving Josh moves
to Italy with Marah and Shayne. |

Lives in Italy with father and brother. In 1993, they return to
Springfield. |
| 1995 |
Marah becomes close to the new woman in Josh's life, Annie Dutton.
Reva returns, alive and well, and wants to re-establish a relationship

Eventually, Josh and Reva reunite, and their children are happy
to be part of a true family again, but are disturbed by Annie's continued
harassment of their family. Marah brings home a lost girl named Tammy

Marah is angry when Reva refuses to return to Springfield from San
Cristobel. She and Shayne go to Paris for awhile and when she returns,
Marah is much more mature. She and Reva begin to butt heads as Marah
reacts angrily to her parents' separation. Marah is attacked by an
aggressive boy, and Olivia Spencer steps in to rescue her. She begins
to confide in Olivia but is angered when Olivia becomes the new woman
in Josh's life. |

Marah schemes unsuccessfully to get her parents back together. Reva
objects to Marah's new sexy style and becomes embroiled in a pirating
CD scam with her niece Susan Lemay and friends. Marah is drawn to
mobster-in-training Tony Santos. |
| 2001 |
Marah tries to prevent Josh from marrying Olivia by using Tony,
but in the end she only manages to hurt Tony. Sam Spencer, Olivia's
brother, tries to help her with her broken heart but when Marah is
kidnapped, he and Tony are forced to work together to rescue her.
Tony and Marah reconcile for awhile but ultimately break up. Although
they still yearn for each other, Marah briefly dates Sam (the relationship
ends over feelings of betrayal) and Tony starts seeing Marah's college
roommate and longstanding rival, Catalina Quesada. Desperate to do
anything to hold onto Tony, Catalina "accidentally" circulates
Marah's essay on virginity to the student body. This leads to a mortified
Marah meeting fellow student Ben Reade. As she tries to resist his
charms, he grows more determined than ever in his pursuit of her as
he hopes to collect on a bet he made with friends to deflower her. |
| 2002 |
Marah and Ben continue to grow closer. Although she still loves
Tony, he is now with Catalina. Meanwhile, Ben stops thinking about
the bet and begins to have real feelings for her. When she finds out
that Catalina is pregnant with Tony's baby, Marah returns the St.
Anthony's medal that he gave her. Marah believes she has no place
in his life once he asks Catalina to marry him. As the wedding draws
near, she learns that Catalina lost the baby months ago and has been
pretending to still be pregnant just to get Tony to marry her. Marah
interrupts the wedding but is kicked out. Later she confronts Catalina
and the two begin to fight. Marah is knocked unconscious and when
she wakes up, she learns that Catalina has been murdered. Convinced
that Tony did not murder her, Marah makes it her mission to try and
clear his name. Tony tells her to stay out of his life because he
believes that he is protecting her. Already heartbroken, Ben admits
that he made a bet to make her lose her virginity. A crushed Marah
leaves her house with a bottle of Vodka to drink away her problems,
only to meet Romeo Jones. The two get drunk together and she sleeps
with him. She wakes up the next day and realizes that she has made
a huge mistake. After Romeo takes Marah hostage, Tony is cleared of
murder. The young couple reunites, but Romeo spills the beans to Tony
and his and Marah's drunken encounter. Tony is livid and almost rapes
Marah, leaving them seemingly split up for good. |
