| 1997 |
Lizzie and Beth return to Springfield, moving into the Spaulding
mansion. Lizzie befriends her grandfather's girlfriend, Annie Dutton.
They grow close. |
| 1998 |
Lizzie presses for Beth and Phillip to get back together despite
his relationship with Harley Cooper. Lizzie admits that she killed
Carl Stephens, her mother's abusive former boyfriend, to protect her
mother and is sent away to receive psychiatric treatment. |
| 1999 |
Lizzie is kidnapped, along with other Springfield children, by Holly
Lindsey-Reade and is saved by Annie. Philip is concerned about his
daughter's close relationship with Annie. Lizzie runs away with Annie
but gets homesick and decides she wants to go home. |
| 2000 |
Lizzie learns that she has leukemia; her family supports her through
the ordeal. Lizzie's unaware that Beth's pregnant by Phillip, not
by her stepfather, Jim Lemay. Beth has labor induced so that the baby
can act as a donor and save Lizzie's life. When she learns the truth
about the baby, Llizzie wrongly assumes that Phillip and Beth will
reconcile. Lizzie mourns the death of Jim, who dies in a Christmas
fire. |
| 2001 |
Lizzie gets the royal treatment when Beth marries the ruling prince
of San Cristobel, Edmund Winslow. |
| 2002 |
Lizzie thrilled to learn that her mother "Beth" is really
alive. She and "Beth" form a bond. When she learns that
her father thinks she is an imposter, Lizzie rejects the idea saying
that she know her own mother. When Lorelei is in jail, Lizzie visits
to tell her that she loves her and know in her heart that she is her
mother. Later, however, Lizzie is horrified by the publication of
"Lorelei's Diary." |
