GL: And the Winners Are...
The votes are in! On Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, CBS' Early Show announced the winners for their second "Soap Star Screen Test." And it was a peach of a morning for University of Georgia's David Spearman and Dara McCarney, who were selected after receiving an enormous viewer response. The two hopeful thespians cinched their case by contacting friends, family and others through an e-mail campaign, urging them to vote for them via an internet poll at www.cbsnews.com/earlyshow. After they were proclaimed the winners, the two performed a scene together on CBS' Early Show.
Spearman and McCarney will appear on Guiding Light in a weeklong role in summer 2004.
