Sarah
Foret stars as 16-year-old Sophie Kerr in the Sony Pictures Television
original drama series BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE for ABC Family.
Prior to landing the leading role of Sophie, Foret guest starred
on the critically acclaimed series Gilmore Girls and the
hit series CSI: NY. Other television credits include a
co-starring role on Clubhouse. Foret also has several independent
features due out later this year including a lead role in American
Crude opposite Michael Duncan Clark, Jennifer Esposito and
Rob Schneider and supporting roles in Deadly and Pope
Dreams.
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Foret knew at the early age of
six, acting was for her. After attending a performance of Phantom
of the Opera at the Kennedy Center in Maryland, she longed
to play the role of Christine someday. From that point on, Foret
signed with an agency in the East Coast and started out with some
modeling work for print and runway.
In high school, Foret auditioned and was accepted to Parkview,
a performance arts school in Arkansas. As a freshman there, she
snagged the lead of Maria in Westside Story and took on
the roles of Susan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,
Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Belle in Beauty and
the Beast in local theatre productions. Foret's passion for
acting was further fueled when she moved to Texas to live with
her father, a substitute teacher and actor who helped hone her
craft. Determined to follow her dream, she decided to graduate
early and move out to California to pursue acting professionally.
Foret loves to read, write and enjoys spending time with her dog
and cats that she rescued from animal shelters. Foret has also
recently delved into the world of photography in an attempt to
learn more about her character Sophie. Fluent in Spanish, Foret
currently resides in Los Angeles.
