Visual effects supervisor Carey Villegas and producer Dave Taritero collaborated with Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer in this explosive summer 2003 hit. The team at Imageworks brought to the screen spectacular and seamless CG effects such as wild gunfights, accomplished through the use of high-speed cameras and CG elements, creating a Cuban setting for a Miami mansion, complete with 3D buildings, cars, and people, and chaotic car chases, inter-cutting CG cars into a live action chase sequence.
