JK Rowling's story and characters weren't fiction to the millions of Potter fans who demanded an astounding level of realism and accuracy in this first installment of the boy wizard series.
At the end of the day it would take more than 600 digital effects shots to translate the vivid world of Harry to the screen. But it wasn’t so much the number of shots as their complexity.
From Fluffy the three-headed dog, to a menacing mountain troll, to the high-flying national pastime of wizards and witches, Harry's supernatural world had to seamlessly exist within his very real world.
