At 33, I still have the piece of scrap paper that Ty wrote his name and # on in 8th grade. I never had a reason to hang on to it but I did and fate brought us back together. Although Ty and I discovered puppy love in middle school, we had no idea that some 20 years later a pre-teen crush would turn out to be love.

I planned a big birthday for Ty 2 years ago. I stood beside him as he opened his last birthday gift. With a large hat-sized box in his hand, he looked at me and went down on one knee pulling out a ring sized box. I was so surprised that I can't remember what he said but I guess it was something like "Will you marry me?" because everyone started clapping and taking pics. What was supposed to be HIS birthday party turned out to be an engagement party for US! What unselfish love!

I don't know that we both realized our destiny at the same time but ever since he proposed to me on his birthday I can't see myself living without him. We both believe that you shouldn't marry the person that you CAN live with... you should spend the rest of your life with the person that you CAN'T live without and that would be him.

Please grant a school teacher and fire-fighter a dream wedding. We need financial assistance. I have been trying to do it myself but it is too stressful and expensive. I need help. I really want it for my mother, as she has been diagnosed with a rare skin cancer. A wedding planner and a little help financing the reception would mean the world to us right now.
