Just wanted to say you have done an amazing job with this franchise, please don't leave after three films! There will always be great Spider-man stories to tell, as long as we have someone to tell them!

Sam,
Love your work, great to see a director in Hollywood who maintains such a professional attitude when so many do not.
Any chance you'll ever do an autobiography like your friend Bruce Campbell did?

Sam-
Hey, all of your fans are really anxious to see a new trailer with footage of Venom like that of Comic Con or the one at Comic Con. Any release dates or anything at all. Please don't keep us waiting in suspense. Thanks
i'd just like to say that Sam Raimi is the best director in history (yes, even better than Speilberg himself). Since Spider-man 1 and 2 have already come out, and 1 plus 2 equals 3, which means that the first 2 spidey films put together r going to equal the 3 one for sure, which is gonna make this next flick an absolute masterpiece. I can sense that this movie is in excellent hands, no other than the hands of Sam Rain, u is da man. U rock.
Please do a VENOM wall paper or reveal VENOM more. Many of us never got to go to the comic con and would love to see what those who go to go saw. PLEASE!!!
I just wanna say thank you to not only Mr. Raimi and the cast but to the thousands of people who make these "amazing" movies happen.
Spider-man is truly awesome. The movies are like a bright star that stands out against the other normal Hollywood movies! :-)
I don't know what category to put it in cos it has action, drama, romance, comedy & adventure!
I just know you guys have made a hit with "Spidey 3"! Every movie just keeps getting better & better. FANTABULOUS!
I can't wait!
#73 | Posted by: Adam Young | August 16, 2006 6:07 AM
Hey, Sam Raimi please tell me that Venom looks like he does in the comics. You know black and with a hug white spider on the front and back.
#75 | Posted by: Daniel Laird | August 16, 2006 9:41 AM
I am driving myself crazy that I can't see spiderman 3!!! I really want to see venom in a trailer or picture at least. Mr.Raimi, I hope you are reading this blog cause everyone wants to see venom and I would like to be ansered about my movie plots I posted earlier and if you liked them.
Hi, every one im from Mexico and i think im the spidermans biggest fan, since i was a kid, and im waiting to see the spiderman 3 movie, hope to get more news soon
Hey, everyone's saying that Venom is in the third movie, but why don't we see him in the teaser trailer?? That WAS the alien symbiote, right? Venom's an entirely different "person" . . .
Mr Raimi,
I have followed your work since you came out with evil dead and it has been a hell of a ride. The reason your movies in the past have been such a success is because they have followed a path almost parrallel with the original story. I hope that if you do introduce Venom into this story that you will not neglect any of the other characters development because those chartcters make the story great
I'm a very biggest fan of you and of spidey, (my english is very well when i write because i'm french!!), I waits impatiently the 4th may, to see Spiderman3 an other must!!!!!!!!
Friendly!!
Hi,
I really just wanted to say thank you so much for faithfully representing Spider-man and the stories so, so well. Being a huge fan of the comics, I really can't wait to see how the next film unfolds, but there is no doubt in my mind that it will surpass all expectations I've built up seeing the trailer. I think everyone can tell that your love for this hero shines through, your hard work and excellent film making bring stories of hope, adventure, and amazement to all who view these films. I know you work with a crew and cast of enormous size, and it would be silly to try to thank them all, but this is my thanks to them and you. To a lot of people, this is more than just a movie. Thank you again.
Hi, I love what you have done to all of the spiderman movies, You changed some stuff from the comic books, bringing in Gwen Stacy is good for the movie and Peter Parker, but in the comic she dies, well the Green Goblin kills her. I am the biggest fan I have a Spidey tattoo on one arm and Venom on the other. The movie will be a great Birthday gift for my son he will be 3 on May 4th 2007
This Spider-Man movie i feel will be the best one yet. With hopes that Bruce Campbell shows up in this on too! =0) You take the guy who made Evil Dead {the greatest horror movie ever made}, and give him the chance to make Spider-Man, of course it's going to be great!!!! This one should blow them "Pirates right out of the water!!"
#95 | Posted by: Andrew | August 22, 2006 11:11 AM
What can I say? I continue to be amazed by the incredible directing and story-telling of the Spiderman movies. Sam, you really must be a fan of the comics because you have stayed true to the storyline like no other director I've ever seen. It really kills me that other directors and studio heads choose to screw up great Marvel/DC characters. Spiderman is the formula that all studios should follow. Sam, would you please direct a decent Superman? I would love to see you do a proper Superman movie. One that has him facing real super villains instead of the same old non-powered Lex Luthor!
#96 | Posted by: Rod Lewis | August 22, 2006 3:43 PM
I have got to say the Spiderman movies have been the best adaptation from the comic to the big screen to date. Its still a little early to say whether or not the third instalment will be another tremendous hit. Needless to say, if they keep up the same formula that had made the previous films big successes than I have full confidence this will become a hit as well. Good Luck!! Lucas

My little brother will be turning 8 years old on May 4th 2007 he cant wait to see Spidey and Venom,(niether can I). Him and I are two of the BIGGEST fans of Spider- Man."WE LOVE SPIDER-MAN."
Sam Rami I am a huge fan of the spider-man films and games it has been an honor to watch and play them thanks for the movies and awsome job on evil dead
Sam Raimi has established himself as one of the worlds best film-makers. It's not so hard to believe, that this visionary responsible for one of the most controversial and rivetting films of the 80's (choose from either The Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2 (the remake) has become the fore-front of style and edge in movie making. Spiderman, without a doubt, thrust him into the main stream cinema cycle - for which I'm eternally greatful - I can only imagine, big movie producers approached Raimi in fear or dread that this 'video nasty demon lover' may add a brutal, torried or twisted edge to something like Spiderman, but as now is clear and easy to see - as I already knew - Sam Raimi IS, in fact, an established veteran of movie making. He raised the level for superhero movies - for example, perhaps Elektra or Daredevil wouldn't have been as bad as they are, had Raimi not taken the reigns and responsiblity for Spiderman. As it is, every Director, Producer and Film-maker in the business at the moment - should recognise, respect and adore all that is Sam Raimi, for his film-making genius, his dark edge, his sense of humour and his entire approach to the movie making world. I haven't been able to see the trailer for Spiderman3 yet, but I know now, it'll be the best movie of the NEXT two years.
"Gimme some sugar baby!" Bruce 'Ash' Campbell rocks!
(PS, any SAM RAIMI fans don't know who Bruce Campbell is (popping up in Raimi's work here and there - but not enough solo stuff
...come on Sam, Bruce is one of the best in the biz...EvilDead4 could be in my hands with a self penned script that stays true to the originals...bad blag, I tried though...
...anyway,
Bruce Campbell, is Ash. In one hand is his sawn-off double barrelled shot gun - and in the other hand...sorry, in PLACE of the other hand, is a chainsaw strapped on and purring like a tiger in heat, waiting for action, taking on the living dead in the best zombie movie's ever made, The Evil Dead collection.
With all my love Sam, (ps, named my cat after you!) Robert Wilson....and I'll see you soon. Watch out for "thePIRATES", and no, it's not pirates of the carribean pirates, it's quite different, very different...erm....
SAM RAIMI ROCKS! (Sorry, had to let that out.)
#104 | Posted by: Robert | August 25, 2006 6:51 AM
spidy is great in both the previous movies, and hope so this time too, ... but why this muchof delay? moreso when you have completed the video trailers in great fashion?this delay is killing me.

#130 | Posted by: James | September 12, 2006 2:45 AM
Mr. Raimi,
YOU ROCK!
I hope you keep working with the Spiderman franchise for a LONG time. Loved the trailer for Spidey 3. Love that it looks like 3 villains (Sandman, Goblin aka Harry Osborne, and the Alien Symbiote) for the 3rd movie. Your hard work on the first 2 laying the foundations is paying off by allowing 3 villains instead of just 1. I wish people would quit speculating about VENOM! It seems obvious to me from the trailer that this is the Alien Symbiote (NOT VENOM).
At the close of Spiderman 1, after MJ kisses Peter Parker, as he walks away, the look on her face changes and she raises her hand to her lips. Did you intend for that to indicate her connecting the kiss with spiderman? It has been much debated. I personnally feel that it does, because Kirsten Duntz did a magnificent job of conveying that with just her expression.
I hope the Lizard Man appears sometime soon in the franchise (maybe #4). You've done an excellent job setting up the groundwork for it in the first 2 movies, and the actor you've used for Dr. Connors is top-notch. He will do an excellent job.
Also, love the chemistry between your brother and J Jonah Jamison at the Daily Bugle. Keep it up and always keep a cameo role or 2 for yourself and Bruce Campbell.
#131 | Posted by: David | September 12, 2006 6:35 AM
well sam ur the man, love what u did eith the third flick... i feel spider-man dint look this good till u hit it..as for the third flick the venom idea is just what the movie needs ..i just woneder how ur blendin it with him facin all three..

I give SPIDER-MAN 3: 4 stars, The Sci-Fi Award, A MTV Movie Award 4 Best Hero, Villain, Kiss,Action Sequence, & Fight, & an Academy Award 4 Best Visual FX already & I haven't even seen this blockbuster yet! Sam, you will be the ''King Pin'' of The Red Carpet come summer 2007! & Toby! U Da MAN! Have fun guys! Oh! & Sam, with your expertise in the horror genre, I'm sure you'll do an ''amazing'' job of showing how truly terrifying Venom would be if he were flesh 'n blood, which would add more tension to the exhilerating action! Good luck, Spidey! You'll need it . . . .
I don't know if ya'll have seen venom or not...but damn...he is awesome. I saw some leaked footage of venom in the spidey 3 movie and it was totally awesome. It totally outdoes spidey 2 and 1. And to be honest it makes the comic look like kids play. And to think...Sam Raimi almost didn't put venom in the spidey 3 movie!!!!! Seriously... what is a spiderman movie without at least one apprearane by venom? He is like tha ultimate Spidey villan!!!! Can't wait to see Spiderman 3. I'll be there opening night. YEAH!!!!!
you r a great director. like evil dead you done extremly good for the spiderman movie. spiderman movie just touch everyones heart who saw this movies. thank you so much.

Hi Sam, I actually met you on the set of the first Spiderman movie. I was in the scene at the world unity festival, where the lamppost got stuck on the crane and took 4 hours to reset. Just wanted to say you have done an amazing job with this franchise, please don't leave after three films! There will always be great Spider-man stories to tell, as long as we have someone to tell them!
#25 | Posted by: Danny Hollinger | August 11, 2006 9:06 PM
i think yall should make carnage vs venom for the fourth movie (if there is gonna be one) and make spiderman try n stop them both .....make it a three way battle i'd watch it

#68 | Posted by: Doriann Jimenez | August 15, 2006 8:31 PM
i'd just like to say that Sam Raimi is the best director in history (yes, even better than Speilberg himself). U rock.
#69 | Posted by: Benji | August 15, 2006 9:59 PM

#88 | Posted by: Joel | August 20, 2006 6:34 AM
Mr Raimi,
I have followed your work since you came out with evil dead and it has been a hell of a ride. The reason your movies in the past have been such a success is because they have followed a path almost parrallel with the original story. I hope that if you do introduce Venom into this story that you will not neglect any of the other characters development because those chartcters make the story great
#89 | Posted by: Elliott Beltran | August 20, 2006 2:02 PM
Dear Mr.Raimi,
Please dont make Venom so demonic like in the comics...you know, huge teeth, and that demonic voice. Thanks.

Hi,
I really just wanted to say thank you so much for faithfully representing Spider-man and the stories so, so well.
#93 | Posted by: Jake | August 21, 2006 7:34 PM
Hi, I love what you have done to all of the spiderman movies, You changed some stuff from the comic books, bringing in Gwen Stacy is good for the movie and Peter Parker, but in the comic she dies, well the Green Goblin kills her. I am the biggest fan I have a Spidey tattoo on one arm and Venom on the other. The movie will be a great Birthday gift for my son he will be 3 on May 4th 2007
#94 | Posted by: Daniel | August 21, 2006 8:10 PM
Good Luck!! Lucas

Mr. Raimi,

You'll need it . . . .
#137 | Posted by: Gerald | September 24, 2006 11:30 PM
I don't know if ya'll have seen venom or not...but damn...he is awesome. I saw some leaked footage of venom in the spidey 3 movie and it was totally awesome. It totally outdoes spidey 2 and 1. And to be honest it makes the comic look like kids play. And to think...Sam Raimi almost didn't put venom in the spidey 3 movie!!!!! Seriously... what is a spiderman movie without at least one apprearane by venom? He is like tha ultimate Spidey villan!!!! Can't wait to see Spiderman 3. I'll be there opening night. YEAH!!!!!

Hi Mr. Raimi,
No bones about it, I really dug working as a background barker on Spider-Man 3 on the NY street Paramount Lot with my grandma. Now they call me hollywood Hanz at Shriners and Chidlren's Hospital where I work as a volunteer animal assisted therapy dog to carry on good doggy deeds.
Spider-Man is the bark of all barks and I'd like to work with him some day.
