Mark is also a published author, a surprisingly accomplished guitarist, a licensed private pilot, and a semi-retired magician.  He co-wrote Mom, I Hate You, a book on parenting, released by Random House in 2003.  The husband of actress and singer Teresa Parente, he has a daughter and two sons ranging in age from 10 to 30.
