If you are using a modem connection, load time can run anywhere from 1-5 minutes or so on a 56k modem, and slower on slower modems. Be patient; the diaries will load!
If the diary images are being cut off, try setting your monitor resolution to 800w by 600h -- if they are still being cut off, try setting it to 1024w X 768h. If you are on a PC you can do this by going to your stat menu then your settings/ control panel/ display /settings and move the bar to the correct setting.
