SEASON 1:

When beautiful-but-vapid model wannabe Deb (D'Orsay) has a fatal car accident, she suddenly finds herself in front of Heaven's gatekeeper, Fred (Feldman), who declares her a self-centered "zero". Outraged, she attempts to persuade Fred to return her to her shallow existence but is accidentally relegated to the body of the recently deceased Jane Bingum (Elliott). A brilliant, thoughtful and curvier attorney with a loyal assistant, Teri (Margaret Cho), Jane has always lived in the shadow of her more comely colleagues whereas Deb has always relied on her external beauty. Now, by a twist of fate and bolt of divine intervention, Deb must come to terms with inhabiting Jane's curvier frame in the ultimate showdown between brains and beauty.

SEASON 2:

At the close of last season, Deb was ready to let go of her past and embrace her new life as Jane (Brooke Elliott), but the unexpected arrival of Jane’s "secret” husband Ethan (Devon Gummersall) left her with more questions than ever. To make matters worse, Jane may be disbarred after breaching client-attorney confidentiality, when, against the firm’s advisement, she reported her client for fraud. Faced with a new love triangle and the uncertainty of her career, Jane must, once-again, chart out a new future for herself.

SEASON 3:

With Grayson (Jackson Hurst) emerging from a coma after attempting to explain his engagement to another woman, Jane (Brooke Elliott) devotes herself to clients ranging from gay teens seeking to attend a high school prom to an ex-con looking to return to prison for medical. After consoling Grayson when he’s left standing at the altar on his wedding day, "best man" Jane is determined to find a new romance for herself. And after he offers to whisk her away on the adventure of a lifetime, a quirky and charismatic judge decides to come along as Jane sets off for Italy to realize her dream of a high fashion career, unaware that Grayson is also on his way to join her.

SEASON 4:

In the exciting Season 4 premiere, Jane's broken-hearted roommate, Stacy (April Bowlby) turns to a famed relationship guru, Nikki LePree (Kim Kardashian), for love advice. And Jane's (Brooke Elliot) romantic holiday in Italy is cut short when her assistant, Teri (Margaret Cho), is sent to bring her back to the law firm to work on an important case with Grayson (Jackson Hurst). Meanwhile, Grayson has been secretly trying to come to terms with his new feelings for Jane.
