Lynn's steadfast ally, even when it looked as if the firm were utterly lost, Danni Lipton (played by Julie Warner) is also a close friend of Lynn's. Danni's a young, ambitious attorney, whose pushy tendencies sometimes rub people the wrong way. She is the first lawyer Lynn asks to join the new firm, but her constant questioning and bargaining might just leave her an associate for another year. Danni's status causes friction with Lynn and both women must come to terms with changes in both the firm and their friendship. Danni's life is further complicated by her need to cope with an ailing father and a becalmed love life.
