Blue collar Joe Celano (played by Tony Danza), an outspoken advocate for human rights, joins Lynn and her partners at Holt and Associates when he returns to legal practice after a suspension by the Bar Association. His crime: falsifying documents in a case where failing to do so would have caused a disaster. The son of a garbage truck driver and a union organizer, when it comes to fighting for what he thinks is right, he'll do anything. His controversial politics and unorthodox legal arguments often leave him defending his case not in court, but also with other partners in the firm.
