Salli Richardson portrays sassy attorney Viveca Foster in FAMILY LAW, the one-hour drama from Columbia TriStar Television, airing Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Richardson, a native of Chicago and an accomplished singer, traveled the country with the Chicago Children's Choir before studying opera in high school. She lent her voice to the love theme "If I Know You at All" for the feature film "Posse," a project in which she also starred with actor/director Mario Van Peebles and Blair Underwood.

Her television credits include a recurring role in the series "Rude Awakenings" and a regular role in the series "Mercy Point." She also provided the voice of Elisa Maza in the animated series "Gargoyles" and has had guest-starring roles in "The Pretender," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "New York Undercover," "Stargate SG-1" and "Between Brothers." She starred in the miniseries "True Women" on CBS, "I Spy Returns," "Soul of the Game" and "Lily in Winter."

Richardson's film credits include "A Low Down Dirty Shame," "The Great White Hype" and "Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored."

Salli lives in Los Angeles and her birthdate is November 23.
