Susan Dey
Susan Dey was already one of New Yorks hardest working young fashion models when she made the leap into television for the very first time with her featured role as Laurie, the socially-aware elder daughter, in Screen Gems' new series, "The Partridge Family."
Born in Pekin, Illinois, December 10, 1952, Susans family lived there only briefly before moving to Long Island, where her father was editor of a group of newspapers. She is one of four children, all of whom are still students, except for her older sister, Lesley, who also works as a fashion model. At Fox Lane High School in Mt, Kisco, Susan was a member of the drama club, performing as Elaine in "Arsenic And Old Lace" and as Amanda in "Summer And Smoke." She was even cast as a duck in their Christmas pageant, but had to turn the part down when Hollywood came calling.
