My journey began in May. I heard about a Wheelmobile event coming to Las Vegas and after years of watching the show, and being a good puzzle solver, I decided it was my turn to try out! I rubbed my Chihuahuas' little bellies for good luck and headed out. After my arrival to the Venetian hotel, I finally found my way into a large ballroom with hundreds of people. Then my nerves began because I had no idea what to expect. We filled out small sheets of paper about ourselves and then were ushered into an auditorium. There was a small stage with a fake Vanna and Pat, and they randomly picked out the sheets of paper we submitted, calling names 5 at a time. By the end of the day, my name had never gotten called and I was pretty devastated. I thought my journey had ended.
Then, 3 weeks later I received a very exciting e-mail. It was an e-mail inviting me to the 2nd round of auditions in June! I could not believe it! At the 2nd audition I was even more nervous than before, but there were much less people! At the end of the day, they said they would call us in a few weeks if we were selected.
Waiting for that phone call was all I did. When I didn't hear for a few weeks, and then a month, and then a few months I thought that I hadn't been selected and told myself that I was going to try out again next year.
In the lovely month of October I received a phone call that would change my life! I was selected to be on WHEEL OF FORTUNE! I was so caught off guard and so thrilled that I was actually going to be able to be on my favorite television show.
