The day had finally arrived to film our episode, so we showed up nice and early. And, like we said before, the contestant coordinators were AMAZING! They could see how nervous we were and they were always right there to answer any questions or concerns. After about 8 hours of preparation and planning, we were ready to walk onto the set, it was all very surreal. You try to imagine what it is going to be like but you really can't imagine the excitement you feel when you are standing behind the "Wheel."
It is true what they say, it is much easier to play Wheel of Fortune at home on your couch. At first, the excitement was so much we could hardly see the board and we began sweating so bad they had to get miniature fans for us during the commercial breaks! But we just remembered to take deep breaths and stay as calm as possible and it all worked out. The first time we answered a puzzle, such a sense of relief swept over us and it started to become easier.
Then we were able to squeak out a win and move on to the Bonus Round where we ended up winning a total of just over $41,000! So now we have a beautiful backyard with a swing set that our daughter loves. We truly can't thank the team at Wheel of Fortune enough for making this dream possible. It is something we will never forget and we are so grateful we were able to make these memories that will last a lifetime!
