POSTED 8-8
I've loved watching Wheel of Fortune for a long time. When I was little, I watched it from time to time with my grandparents. But I really got into the show when I was in college and home on breaks. My mom had started watching it and we'd watch during dinner, trying to solve the puzzles before the contestants. My mom is really good at Wheel of Fortune, so she certainly helped me become a better puzzle solver! Together, we could solve most puzzles, often with only a few letters showing.
When I heard that the Wheel-Mobile was coming to St. Louis, I knew that I had to go. Otherwise, I wouldn't have tried my very best to get on the show. I went to the event with my husband and my mom and we waited in line with a couple thousand people just to put our names in for the drawing. As I was sitting and waiting, I kept hoping to hear my name, and they called it! I ran up to the stage and did my brief interview, and then it was over. I wasn't sure if anything more would happen, but I was so excited that my name had been drawn.
About a month later, I was overjoyed to get an email inviting me to the callbacks. I was in a room with about 90 other people while we did simulated puzzles and took a test (which was really hard!). When my name was called to stay on, I could hardly believe it. After a few more simulated puzzles and a brief interview, we all left.
Every day I would check my mail, hoping to see a letter from Wheel of Fortune, and it never came. And then finally, a week after the callbacks, it arrived. I was actually going to be on Wheel of Fortune! Of course, I still had no idea when this would happen.
Two months later, the call arrived. I knew my mom would be going with my husband and I, but I was so surprised when both my sister and mother-in-law said they wanted to go as well! So we all headed out to LA for my show. Tune in Monday, August 8th, to see what happened!
