Our amazing journey started when my sister-in-law emailed me the invitation to try-out. She wrote "YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR BROTHER TO GO"! So Neil and I went back and forth for about a day on this. He didn't WANT TO, but I told him I knew we would beat the try-outs and we would win the whole thing. He called me the following day and said LET'S GO!
We made our trip up from San Diego as confident as ever and then we saw the entrance door to try-outs. We're not gonna lie we became a little nervous. After we went in and met the crew of Wheel of Fortune we became immediately comfortable. What a blast that was. We didn't really have a clue what all went into making Wheel of Fortune so awesome! After we tried out the crew said they will call us tomorrow if we make it. Later that day I get a call from Neil all happy and screaming in the phone, "We made it! We made it!" I said you liar they never called! He cracked up and said, "Just kidding no one called yet." LOL! We both were sitting on pins and needles waiting, but I knew we were gonna get that call.
So the next day I'm out to breakfast with my bestie and Neil was out golfing. I get the true call from the crew saying we made it! My bestie and I are at breakfast in this cute quaint cafe in West Hollywood when I got this news. I dropped the phone and started screaming, "We made it! We made it!" He started screaming too. Everyone was looking at us like we were crazy. My bestie was shouting, "My girl made it to the Wheel of Fortune!" Ha-ha! So I called my brother and he didn't believe me at first because he thought I was pulling what he had pulled, but I wasn't. He starts screaming on the golf course, "We made it! We made it!" to all of his golf buddies.
From that point forward it was study cram time to learn everything there is to know about the Wheel. Watch us spin on Thursday, September 22nd!
