We thought we were nervous for try-outs! HA! As soon as we drove up to the main entrance to Sony Studios then we REALLY got nervous. We had no idea what to expect. All I knew is when we woke up that day I looked at my brother and I said, "You know we go this right? We are going to win this whole thing!" Anyhow, we arrive and get escorted to the studio. We got our rules and regulations out of the way and then we were off to make-up and rehearsal. Who would have thought all that goes into making a game show! After make-up, we all got to practice spinning the Wheel. HELLO that Wheel weighs 1,000 pounds! There is no way I could spin that so I told Neil that's all him. Next everyone had to draw their turns. Neil and I were picked for the 4th round. Man, waiting for your turn seemed like a life time, but when it came to ours we were ready! Nervous, but still confident, we took our places. From the moment Neil touched that Wheel we were on FIRE! Every single turn almost every single puzzle was in our favor. We lost one round, but it was great to see someone else win something too.
We did so awesome! When we won the 2 trips to Turks and Caicos we both were screaming in excitement! I then leaned over to my brother and said, "Where in the world is Turks and Caicos?!" He mumbled back to me, "I have no idea!" but we still continued jumping up and down. Thrilled! Not to mention the money we won along the way. Well, we ended up making it to the Bonus Round. That was the only Wheel I could spin because it was a tiny version of the big Wheel. Any how, I spun for us and the puzzle came up, but we couldn't figure it out. Oh well! We pretty much won the whole entire game so we definitely weren't unhappy about losing the Bonus Round.
Overall, this was an experience that will always be remembered. Not only was it an honor to be on the show, it was also a bonding experience for both my brother and I. We are so forever thankful and grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much Wheel of Fortune!
