POSTED 9-13

When I received an email from Wheel of Fortune asking me if I was still interested in auditioning for Wheel I thought it was spam or a cruel joke. But I opened the email and found it to be true. "If so, follow these directions." So I did what the email stated and then went to the audition in March. I was so excited and a little nervous. I have wanted to be on Wheel of Fortune ever since I can remember.

In the mean time I bought the iTouch app for WOF and I downloaded the Program for my computer as well. I began practicing all of my free time. I am a flight attendant and spend a lot of time in hotel rooms and sitting around the airport.

The audition came. The Wheel of Fortune team was great. After we all got into the audition room our photos were taken and attached to our information sheet. We played a condensed version of Wheel. I was not feeling as confident for myself as I was for some others. When my name was called, I stood up and had no idea what the puzzle was or what letter to guess. Then all of a sudden it clicked and I guessed a Wthere were 2 W's"Can I solve the puzzle?"of course"Whale Watching Expedition!!!!" I could not believe it.I was having so much fun! I won a T-shirt for that but traded with someone else for the Wheel of Fortune hat.

The next step was a 5 minute test. The WOF team passed out the tests. I worked really hard on it. I think there were over 10 puzzles with different letters displayed, maybe more. I think I was able to get all but 3 or 4 of them; I was really surprised. Then I started feeling better about my chances. After the WOF team graded the tests they read off names of people to stay. OMGI heard my name; I was through to the next part.

So those of us having had our named called stayed. We played a bigger game of WOF, pretending to spin the wheel, and call letters. I was really excited. I was clapping and saying "Big MoneyBig Money!"

Then the audition came to an end. They said if we were selected we would hear within a couple weeks. I waited and hoped and prayed. I felt very confident in my audition, but the WOF team, did not show any favoritism. Now as confidant as I was, I really was not sure.

Several days later I had been out all day running errands. When I got home my husband called me into the living room. He says "I have something to tell you and I do not want you to be disappointed. " I got really worried and then he pulled out the letter with the Wheel of Fortune logo. I saw the return address stamp of Wheel and I knew I was selected and started to scream and sing "I'm a Wheel Watcher"! He likes to kid around!

Once I received that letter I practiced and practiced and practiced. Then I received a call on July 1st they asked me to be in Las Vegas on July 13...just 13 days away. I was ready to get on an airplane to work when I received the call from WOF. I had to call WOF back after I landed in my city and also speak with my husband. Of course my phone died and had no battery left and I did not have my charger, UGH! Just when I needed it most! I had an expensive hotel phone bill.

My husband Rick my sister Cindy, nephew Alex and niece Isabela, and my girlfriend Darcy were going to come to the show with me. We booked our rooms and flights. We were on our way!!!!

My husband and I arrived on Sunday. My sister and her kids arrived Monday. The taping was Tuesday. Alex and Bela spent most of the day helping me practice. Alex even used Post It Notes to make up games for me!

The next morning Darcy flew in and they all escorted me to the meeting place for the day of taping. During the day I really enjoyed meeting the fellow contestants. I made friends with Leslie who will be on Tuesdays show.

Oh my Gosh, is it really happening? Am I really going to spin the wheel and be on Wheel of Fortune?

As Bela and Alex wanted me to say, "My name is Lynn and I am here to Spin to Win"

Watch me on the Wheel Wednesday, September 15th, to see what I won when I spun!
