Well, hello again!
Did you figure it out? It's seems that my state geography might need some work. Fargo is where? Which Dakota? If I had just called the 'R' before I tried to solve. As you can see I did OK, but I was a bit embarrassed. I know exactly where Fargo is having been through it on my travels with my military husband. So, I now offer my sincere apologies to the nice folks in North Dakota for trying to relocate your city to another state.
Trust me, it's a little nerve racking up there. Playing at home with your spouse, kids and the dog as an audience is a far cry from having lights camera action and strangers staring at you. When commercials are on at home, I am running to fridge for a soda, on TV we are getting make-up and mic adjustments, water and a pep talk. That really impressed me as they really want you to do well. Then there is the matter of the Wheel. While it is not as light as it looks, if you use the technique they show you, it's not so bad.
I am super excited that my BFF could come to join me! She and daughter booked their tickets as soon as I got the tape date. I am most excited about the cruise as my husband and I will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary next March. We plan to go to the Western Caribbean. My BFF and daughter said they are arm wrestling to see who goes with me to the Spa Getaway in Arizona. Hubby and I are laughing while they do it because he has first dibs and he said neither of them are going. Ssssh... don't tell!
While I didn't win the Bonus Round, I was certainly blessed to be able to get on the show and come home with more than $20,000 in winnings! Thousands of people apply every year but they can only take so many. I was fortunate enough to get a second chance last October which does not often happen in life. I think I was more disappointed in not going to the Wheel of Fortune Gift Shop. Our show taped last on a Friday, and there was just not the opportunity to do that before coming home. I wanted some cool Wheel souvenirs that I could keep forever. I plan to share my winnings with Shiloh Baptist Church, Toy Rescue Mission and my family.
This has been my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. For all those who want this as bad as I did, keep trying! One day it's bound to happen. You too could have a BIG CHANCE!
