As I write this blog, I still can't believe I was actually on Wheel of Fortune!! I'm pretty sure everyone has seen an episode of the Wheel, but to actually experience it in person, one word, AMAZING!!
It all started a couple of months ago with a phone call from my best friend Tyesha:
Her - "Hey, Wheel auditions are coming to Tacoma!"
Me - "No, way!!"
Her - "You HAVE to come!! Fly up!"
Me - "I want to, I really, really want to. I've only been married 2 months. How can I leave?"
Her - "Call your husband and call me back!"
(Can you guess what my husband said??)
Me - "Hello, Tye"
Her - "Oh no, did he say no?"
Me - "HE SAID YES!!!!!!!!!!!"
Then there was a lot of screaming and jumping up and down.
I flew up to Tacoma and auditioned with my best friend. We had a great time! We stood in line, met other Wheel lovers, practiced and quizzed each other. It was fantastic! We both made it on stage, and won a prize. Now all we had to do was wait for an email invitation for second auditions!!
Three weeks later, I got the email. Unfortunately Tyesha didn't :( In the end of my email it said if I was newly married I could bring my husband. How cool was that?!?! The only bad part was we had to fly back to Tacoma. Who cares, I now get to do second auditions with my husband.
Troy and I went to Tacoma and had our audition. We were able to solve a puzzle together. It made us think our chances were good, since we were the only married couple. Sad to say after the first half of the audition, they split us up. I made it through to the next round, but Troy didn't. Back to the waiting game... I would be notified by mail in 4 weeks if I made to the PROMISE LAND!! (By promise land, I mean Wheel.)
Three weeks later I received a call from the "contestant department". At the auditions they told us we would be notified by mail, so I thought it was a family member playing a joke on me. Once I realized she wasn't joking, I was so excited!!! I actually made it to the show. Whoooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!!!
The audition experience was truly fun. It was great being able to share the audition process with my best friend and husband.
So this is it!! My episode is airing this week. Are you you wondering how I did? Am I a millionaire? Did I win a car? Did I win anything? Only one way to find out!!!
Make sure to watch me on Wednesday, September 5th!! Then check back here Thursday for the rest of my Wheel experience.
