How many times a week do you lose your house or car keys? And how much time do you waste looking for them? Here's how I keep track of mine:
I have a little dish on a table by the door, and as soon as I enter the house, I immediately put the keys in that dish. It's a great habit to get into, especially because the sound of the keys hitting the dish serves as an added reminder for where you've placed them.
If you have no place to put your keys close to your door, find a place that you go to right away each time you return home. You could also put a nail or hook on a wall nearby. It might not look glamorous, but it's better than spending hours looking for your keys all the time!

Dear Vanna
That is a really awsome tip. What I do to my keys, I carry them in my bag, when I'm at college and other places when I go out. I have a back up hidden under the flower pot outside the door (people won't steal them). At home when I go to bed, they are put away in my night stand. Its on a key chain to tell the idenification. I don't go to my college with my cell phone, keys, wallet, and Nintendo DS. When I leave something behind, I get mad. Keep up the good work on these tips and take care.
PS - I enjoy sharing my thoughts with others, especially my friends.
I been watching this show for a long time back when it frist came on . how muck Television has changed but Vanna alway loock beattifull, love all the coment and hints . lots of love for both of you love Frank. will be watching.
Vanna, You are Smart!
I have also learned this art of 'finding the keys,' since I have lost them for hours at a time!
Good Info for us all! Thanks, Vanna!
P.S. You are beautiful!
I became tired of spending so much precious time looking for my keys, I bought a carabiner hook to hang keys off a strap or hardware of my purse, so I always know where they are. As soon as I get out of the car, whether @ home or the store, I clip them on, so no digging while standing in the wind or snow, or being late getting out of the house.
YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT LEFT-OVERS WAS VERY GOOD. WASTE NOT-WANT NOT WAS OUR MOTO GROWING UP...
WHEN THE LEFTOVERS ARE FROM A PLATE OR CLEAN UP PHASE,I SAVED THEM FOR THE BIRDS. WAY TO USE UP OLD FLOUR OR MIXES. NOW WE HAVE A FOX THAT WE FEED AWAY FROM OUR & NEIGHBOR'S HOME NEAR SUNDOWN AT OUR BACK FENCE. THAT WAY NOT THREATENED. LEARNED THE FOX DEN IS SEVERAL BLOCKS AWAY.
I like your idea. It makes a lot of sense. But, we have kittens and I'm afraid that they would like these new "play toys" to add to their "collection". They actually find things to play with and when they're done, they hide them, most of the time behind the couch. I have a little "key saver", a "U" shaped hook on a standard key ring that slips over the side of my purse. It's pretty, has a glitzy looking amathyst on the outside end of it. The keys stay inside the purse and you zip the zipper up to the "U". It works out well. Until I got it I was probably the world's worst for losing my keys.
